From the recording A Lover and His Lass (John R. Hedger, Composer)
This recording was made on cassette tape at a recital in 1979 with Jenny Brock singing soprano and John Hedger performing on guitar. The first in a set titled "Four Shakespeare Songs" composed by John Hedger while studying music composition at UK under Joseph Baber, composer in residence there. The setting of songs from the plays of Shakespeare are a long tradition with composers going back to the renaissance of course...but John's teacher Joseph Baber had set them some of them as well as Baber's teacher Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco before him.
